All Leveler for April 2026--Rae-Lynn M!

1. How long have you been doing CrossFit? What got you started?
I joined All Level in March 2023. I went for a massage with Grace (shoutout: Level Massage Therapy). From there I reached out online and Coach Zach sat down with me, walked me through what All Level CrossFit was about and asked about my own personal goals. Since then, there’s been no looking back!
2. What aspect of our core values of authentic, driven, and inclusive do you relate to the most? Why?
Although I think all of these core values are equally important to have, I think I resonate with driven the most. There have been moments in my life where I have been told I was not good or smart enough and I used that to fuel my fire. With that drive, I have helped prove not only others, but myself wrong. I will routinely set up goals, rise to the challenge and put in the work. I remain consistent with being active to ensure I am reaching the goals I set out for myself.
With CrossFit, I remember walking into the gym and being impressed by every single person. I found myself thinking, I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to do what they do. But through the support of the love of my life, Bradley, and ALL the coaches of All Level, they inspire me, push me and believe in me.
3. What do you most look forward to when you come to the gym?
All of the people. Whether it’s the Adaptive Class, WOD or open gym. The feeling I get while being in the gym is like no other and having people constantly in your corner hyping you up is one of the best feelings.
4. What is your favourite memory at All Level CrossFit?
There are so many, but it would likely be a tie between the first Girls Gone RX (team RAC city: partner’s Cam and Amber 💗). This was the first “weight lifting” competition I have ever been in. It was super exciting yet nerve racking trying to perform against all the talented athletes.
The second would have to be World Down Syndrome Day WOD this year. I had the opportunity to partner with Max and we had a blast together. I love the inclusivity the gym has to offer and feel so lucky to be surrounded by similar-minded people.
5. What goals have you set for yourself in CrossFit that you’ve successfully achieved? What are your current goals?
Some goals I set for myself were to do pull ups, chest to bar pull ups , be able to lift more than 65lbs over my head while struggling with a shoulder instability, handstand push ups and muscle ups.
I have been able to accomplish all of the above and truly feel proud of the hard work I have put it as I see it in the results. Last years open I was unable to complete any chest to bar pull ups in the workout. In this years open, I was able to complete all 20 CTB’s required which was a huge win 🥳
My next goals are to work on my muscle ups, squat snatch heavier and handstand walk!
6. What advice do you have for someone who’s on the fence about starting CrossFit
Do it already. I promise you will not regret it.
The only thing I regret, is not signing up years ago.
7. How has your experience at All Level CrossFit improved your life outside of the gym?
Outside of the gym I am a spouse, step-parent, sister, friend and police officer. There have been some very hard times within the past couple of years that have affected my mental health. The one place that has meant a lot to me is All Level CrossFit. All the coaches/athletes efforts, cheering, critiquing  and genuine care of their members is unmatched. I don’t think I could thank every member enough for all they’ve done and the lasting impact they have made on me.
This gym has made me happier, healthier, and more empathetic, which in turn has made me into a better person.
