1. How long have you been doing CrossFit? What got you started? I’ve been doing CrossFit on and off for about eight years now. It was actually my sister who first got me into it.
2. What aspect of our core values of authentic, driven, and inclusive do you relate to the most? Why? Inclusivity is something I care deeply about. I truly believe that everyone deserves to feel welcome in a gym, regardless of their background or fitness level. While we all have different reasons for showing up, we’re all working toward bettering ourselves, and that should never be limited to just elite athletes.
3. What do you love most about classes at All Level CrossFit?? What I love most? Hands down, the question of the day and the social aspect. I really enjoy chatting with my gym family. Whether it's light-hearted teasing, sharing weekend stories, cheering each other on, or just sharing goals (even if the goal is simply finishing the workout!). That kind of connection is something you won’t find in just any gym.
4. What is your favourite memory at All Level CrossFit? My favorite memory? Probably the Christmas party.
5. What goals have you set for yourself in CrossFit that you’ve successfully achieved? What are your current goals? Double unders and GHD sit-ups have definitely tested me. While I’m not fully confident in them yet, I’ve been making an effort to include them in workouts. Right now, I’m working toward a big goal: getting my first pull-up!
6. What advice do you have for someone who’s on the fence about starting CrossFit? My biggest advice? Just show up. Walking into a CrossFit gym, especially one with a tight-knit community, can feel intimidating. But honestly, the hardest part is just taking that first step. Once you’re in, everything starts to fall into place and it gets easier with time.
7. How has your experience at All Level CrossFit improved your life outside of the gym? As cheesy as it might sound, one area of my life that CrossFit has drastically improved, and that I’m incredibly grateful for, is my sleep. On days I miss the gym, I can feel it in my sleep quality, and that affects everything else in my day-to-day life.
