1. How long have you been doing CrossFit? What got you started?
I have been doing CrossFit for 7 years and my first class was on July 17th 2018 at the old gym on Howard. I got started through a pilot program for adaptive athletes through the Chasing Hazel Foundation.
2. What aspect of our core values of authentic, driven, and inclusive do you relate to the most? Why?
Inclusive because I am accepted for who I am and supported in my growth.
3. What do you most look forward to when you come to the gym?
I love working out in a social environment and being around others who cheer each other on. I enjoy talking with members and coaches, and partner workouts are my favorite because they’re a great way to make new friends while pushing each other to improve.
4. What is your favourite memory at All Level CrossFit?
Some of my favourite memories at All Level Crossfit would be doing my 1st pull up in the gym as well as placing 1st in the John Dufour Classic Competition
5. What goals have you set for yourself in CrossFit that you’ve successfully achieved? What are your current goals?
I made it to the finals of the CrossFit Games. Right now, my goals are to stay consistent and keep learning new skills, especially ring muscle-ups.
6. What advice do you have for someone who’s on the fence about starting CrossFit?
Join because it’s fun and you’ll get healthier and stronger along the way. It’s not just about fitness; it’s about f being part of an amazing community. Be strong. Be fit. Have fun
7. How has your experience at All Level CrossFit improved your life outside of the gym?
Socially, I’ve found I have way more to talk about, especially with other athletes who share the same interests. It’s helped me open up, change my mindset, and learn how to support others like cheering them on during workouts.
